With this award, Microsoft states that FirstAgenda is an important partner and one of the scale-ups you should keep a good eye on in the future.

"Microsoft has more than 3,000 partners, so we are very proud that they choose to highlight FirstAgenda in particular as Spark of the Year," says Kasper Lyhr, CEO at FirstAgenda

The background for the tribute is FirstAgenda’s creative and innovative use of artificial intelligence for solving one of the biggest work-related challenges of the future when it comes to streamlining; MEETINGS.

“FirstAgenda has been selected to the Danish Spark of the Year 2019. They have been on a fantastic journey and have, within a short time, built a firm foundation by developing their business within artificial intelligence based on Microsoft Azure. FirstAgenda manages to use AI to automate and streamline processes, and challenge the way we work together. The jury is convinced that this type of solution has the potential to be a big, international success, in a time where available AI-solutions are on high demand,” says Marianne Dahl, CEO, Microsoft Denmark

FirstAgenda uses AI and speech recognition to transcribe the meeting, generate optimized minutes and automate a range of manual meeting processes.

A motivational kick

For FirstAgenda, the award is a motivational boost and a huge clap on the shoulder. CEO, Kasper Lyhr, is looking forward to celebrate the prize with his colleagues.

“I am very proud. Our success very much comes down to our coworkers’ motivation to fight against unproductive meetings with technology. Winning Spark of the Year is a recognition of us being on just the right track. To come home to the office with this price only lifts the motivation and energy to an even higher level," says Kasper Lyhr, CEO at FirstAgenda

Meeting data in the cloud

Running the meeting platform on Microsoft Azure supports FirstAgenda’s growth. The scalable and secure cloud solution makes it possible to expand - also outside national borders - without compromising the security of the users’ data.

With over 60.000 users, FirstAgenda is already well on its way on the journey of growth. The next step on their international journey is the big break through on the American market, where the first deals are already closed. The partnership with Microsoft, being a well-established and widespread solution in the US, is in this context of big value to FirstAgenda. Likewise, FirstAgenda’s expansion in the US will also lead to wider use of Microsoft’s collaboration solutions.
